Core Belief
Home-Start believes that children need
a happy and secure childhood and that parents play the key role in giving their
children a good start in life and in helping them achieve their full potential.
Our Mission
Home-Start Northampton, with the use of volunteers, offers support, friendship
and practical help to local families. We are committed to making our services
as accessible as possible to the many diverse communities we work with and to
families who find it difficult to reach out for support for themselves, for
whatever reason. We work in partnership with families to develop confidence,
positive relationships with their children and to widen their links with the
community. We ensure that resources are sustainable and of the highest quality
in order to provide our services to families and support our volunteers.
The Home-Start Approach
To Home-Start every family is
special and we respond to each family's needs through a combination of
home-visiting support and social events. Home-Start schemes are
rooted in the communities they serve. They are managed locally but supported by
the national organisation. This offers direction, training, information and
guidance to schemes and ensures consistent and high quality support for
parents and children wherever they are. Home-Start has a proven, lasting,
positive impact on the development of children and health and welfare of the
family.
Our Vision
Home-Start Northampton cares about families. We provide quality support,
professionally managed for parents with children under 5.
