The NSME held a ‘Grand Opening’ of its two extended and re-routed railways on Monday 02 May 2011.  The Mayor of Northampton, Councillor Mrs Marianne Taylor opened the ceremony after which rides were offered to visitors.  There wasn’t a charge made for the rides on the day as the NSME wanted to show their appreciation [...]

The Royal Parks Foundation half marathon took place on 9th October 2011 and Home-Start Northampton had 2 runners taking part.

Barclaycard has chosen Home-Start Northampton, along with Rainbow Children’s Hospice and Great Ormond Street, to be their chosen charities for the year 2011.  They have got their fundraising off to a great start by holding a Summer Fete and Annual Quiz.  We are very grateful to them. 

Last year Home-Start Northampton were chosen as one of the Mayors charities along with Crazy Hats (www.crazyhatsbreastcancerappeal.co.uk).  We are grateful to Councillor Marianne Taylor for choosing us and raising a generous amount to help us to continue supporting families.

Our next 2 courses of preparation will begin in the new year on Monday January 9th 2012 from 10am-2.30pm and on Tuesday January 10th 2012 from 6.30pm-10pm.  If you are interested in applying please ask us to send you a volunteer application pack or download it through our get involved page and return to us by the 18th [...]

Events

Arrangements are under way for the annual Home-Start Christmas party.  Invitations have been sent out and we are expecting a very special visitor if he can spare some time from his busy workshop at the North Pole.

We were lucky again to receive tickets for the Circus Starr performances at Midsummer Meadows on 28 April 2011.  These were given out to the families supported by Home-Start and we are grateful to the businesses who donate to this event.
